As part of a group project, I designed and made these wood block stamps. The idea, inspired greatly by the stamps from Katsuo-ji Temple in Osaka, is that as you walk trails you reach checkpoints where you can stamp your card. If you collect all the stamps on the same card, you create a memorable image to take home, featuring the character "Walko" and their native animal friend that you have been spotting to know which path to take.
The initiative aims to connect people to their local environment, and encourage walking and sightseeing as a rewarding way to spend time.
